What we do
We build, market and operate mobile entertainment applications. The applications are created using "best market fit" technologies such as: native (IOS, Android, Java ME), web apps (HTML5, jQuery, jQuery-mobile) or plain old xHTML. These apps are deployed, marketed and monetized via our network of worldwide partners.
Our markets include Asia, Africa, Europe and NA, with a strong foothold in India, South Africa and the USA.
We created mobile games as early as 2001, deployed throughout North America and Europe on carrier decks. The games were the first multi-player connected games availble at the time. In 2004-2005, our entertainment site was ranked #1 in off-deck traffic on the Verizon network and #2 (right after Google) in India. Our company was featured on America television and publications.
Our client roster includes: Telefonica Moviles Espana, Vodafone Portugal, Bite (Lithuania), PTC Poland, O2 UK, O2 Netherlands, T-Mobile Netherlands, SmartCom PCS (Chile), Telenor Mobil.
Today, our entertainment sites get visited in excess of 1 million times per day, with downloads totalling in excess of 300TB per month.
Phonebox was setup in June of 2000 by me, Luc Prieur, an Ericsson and Nokia alumn with a master's degree in computer engineering. Over the years, I've surrounded myself with top talent in addition to weaving an imposing array of partners.
